Google Merchant Center misrepresentation recovery.
Store looks ready. Merchant Center still says misrepresentation.
RID’s Merchant Center remediation work examines the real store experience alongside the account’s policy notice and submitted product data. We turn the findings into a prioritized correction plan, verify the agreed changes, and help prepare a clear review request.

Requesting a return and sending it back are different steps.
Peak Relax: investigate beyond the first policy edit.
Peak Relax contacted RID after policy edits and repeated reviews had not cleared a Merchant Center suspension. RID identified ambiguity between the deadline to request a return and the time to send back an authorized return. Work continued across business information, verification, and technical website concerns.
Google confirmed reinstatement on November 1, 2025. The case supports reviewing the transaction and account together; it does not identify one policy sentence as the proven cause of the suspension.
Find practical answers: the work, scope, evidence, and responsibilities.
Establish the issue before editing the store.
Provide the account notice, affected destinations or countries, current review status, and a record of previous requests. We distinguish account-level concerns from product errors and identify any verification task that must be completed.
A misrepresentation label does not identify every relevant page. We review the information customers and the platform can see, with the business’s actual operations as the reference point.
Connect the seller, product, and checkout.
The store review examines how clearly the seller is identified, how accurately products are presented, and whether the buying journey matches the stated terms. The useful output is a finding with a location, explanation, and assigned correction.
| Workstream | Typical review questions |
|---|---|
| Business information | Does the store clearly identify the seller and explain genuine differences between brand and legal entity? |
| Policies | Do shipping, return, and refund terms describe actual operations? |
| Product data | Do live product values and submitted feed values match for the sample reviewed? |
| Checkout | Can the advertised product be purchased with understandable delivery options and charges? |
| Evidence | What records support identity, sourcing, or business relationships when relevant? |
Make the corrections traceable.
We organize work by responsibility: store owner, developer, feed manager, or RID. This avoids one person updating a policy while another integration continues sending contradictory product data.
After implementation, recheck the live pages and the current account data. Keep a dated record of what was corrected and any issue still open. Recommendations, completed changes, and confirmed account decisions should be tracked separately.
Prepare the request when the record is ready.
A useful review explanation identifies the business, addresses the actual issue, and points to the completed corrections or the evidence supporting a disagreement. Follow the available account flow and any required identity task.
If review is temporarily unavailable, use the interval to resolve open findings and validate the store. We do not promise a way around a cooldown, priority review access, or a particular reinstatement date.
Define the work around your store.
This service fits merchants with an account-level misrepresentation issue who can provide accurate business records and authorize store or product-data corrections. You receive a finding list tied to pages and sampled products, assigned corrections, validation notes, and review-preparation support within the agreed scope.
Catalog size, markets, feed sources, checkout complexity, earlier review history, and verification tasks affect cost. Store-owner approvals, developer work, data updates, and account review availability affect timing. Fees, implementation responsibilities, and follow-up boundaries are agreed before starting.
We track store corrections, product-data checks, identity tasks, and the account decision separately. After reinstatement, check the products and destinations involved; account recovery alone does not establish sales performance or the status of a separate Google Ads restriction.
Before we talk
A few practical questions.
Can you work with our existing Shopify developer?
Yes. We can identify findings, agree on the changes, and review the implementation with your developer or feed manager. Responsibilities are defined in the engagement.
Do we need to replace the entire website?
The review determines what work is relevant. A complete rebuild is not assumed. Some issues require focused corrections; others involve the store’s business information or purchase experience more broadly.
Does Merchant Center recovery include Google Ads?
Only when both are included in the agreed scope. Keep each product’s notices and review status separate, even when they concern the same business.
