This is RID Marketing’s account of a historical engagement. The work, results, and timing describe that client’s situation. For an issue you are facing now, start with the current Merchant Center guidance below.
Peak Relax had operated its Google Merchant Center account for more than a year when a Misrepresentation suspension interrupted the business. The owner associated the timing with a return-policy change, but reversing that change and submitting another version did not resolve the suspension. RID Marketing began working with the merchant in June 2025; Google confirmed reinstatement on November 1, and the client forwarded that confirmation to RID on November 3.
The challenge: reasonable edits were not enough
Before contacting RID, the merchant had added supplier-specific return terms, removed them after the suspension, and tried a replacement policy. Review requests were still unsuccessful. A warning about the remaining review opportunity made it important to examine the store and identify specific issues rather than submit another general statement that everything had been fixed.
The review: read the policy as a customer would
During a June 3 working session, RID identified wording that could create two interpretations of the return deadline. The policy described a 30-day period to request a return but also used the same term for the time allowed to send an authorized return back. Those are different steps; a customer needs to know when a return may be requested and what to do after authorization.
RID recommended clarifying that distinction and documenting the wording change in the support follow-up. The review also covered contact information, customer-facing support descriptions, and the surrounding website experience. This was a concrete issue identified during the review, not proof that Google suspended the account solely because of that wording.
Continued troubleshooting and follow-up
The process continued beyond the initial policy review. Later sessions addressed business-information consistency, verification, and technical website concerns as further questions arose. The history includes additional unsuccessful reviews; an individual correction did not demonstrate that every account issue had been resolved.
The outcome: Google confirmed reinstatement
The November 1 confirmation stated that the Merchant Center account had been reinstated and the Misrepresentation suspension lifted. The client forwarded the confirmation to RID on November 3 and then discussed the next stage of advertising.
What other merchants can learn
A policy page needs to describe an understandable transaction. Read it alongside product information, customer support, and the account details that represent the business. When an account decision shows that more work remains, continue investigating rather than assuming one correction resolved every concern.
