Before You Record Another Google Verification Video, Check the Location

A better recording cannot resolve an inaccurate business location. First make sure the profile reflects where and how the business actually serves customers.

A rejected Business Profile verification video can send an owner back to the camera for a longer take or a different angle. Before recording again, check whether the information the video is meant to prove is accurate and consistent. An outdated website address, a mailing location where the business does not operate, or a mismatch between the profile and actual operations may require more than another recording.

Establish the real location and operating model

Google’s business representation guidelines require an accurate real-world location. A rented mailing address where a business does not operate is not eligible. A coworking office must meet conditions that include clear signage, receiving customers there, and staffing by the business during stated hours. Service-area profiles apply to businesses that travel to customers rather than receive them at their own address; they are not a workaround for an ineligible office.

Start with the business’s actual activities. Who works at the location, when are they present, do customers come there, and what permanent identification is in place? Resolve unclear answers with the owner before deciding how the profile should represent the location.

Compare the profile with public information

Write down the business name, address where applicable, telephone number, website, and stated hours. Compare them with the contact page, sitewide footer, location pages, and major public profiles. Look for material contradictions, especially after a move, rebrand, or change in how the business serves customers. Assign each correction to the owner, agency, or developer so everyone works from the same current information.

Plan genuine evidence before recording

Google’s video instructions call for an unedited, continuous recording that demonstrates the location, the business’s existence, and evidence that the person represents or manages it. Plan a route through real evidence such as the surrounding location, building identification, permanent signage, and authorized access to the working space. Service-area businesses need evidence appropriate to their operations. Do not stage a temporary business presence or record private customer information unnecessarily. The sequence should fit the actual location and current instructions.

Coordinate and learn from a rejection

Confirm website corrections are complete, the person recording has legitimate access, and the profile manager has current details. After submission, monitor the status and further instructions. Keep verification work separate from other requests, such as review-removal appeals. A failed attempt does not by itself identify the cause; examine stated feedback alongside the business information and evidence supplied before trying again. The objective is an accurate profile and a recording that makes the facts understandable. Explore Business Profile support or talk with RID Marketing.
